My Running Journey
Growth isnโt linear โ itโs seasonal. Just like spring, every setback eventually blooms into something stronger.
๐ธ ChiTown Half Marathon โ April 2025
I ran my first ChiTown Half Marathon in 1:52. It was one of those races where everything clicked โ the training, the mindset, and the excitement of seeing what I was capable of.
๐ท ChiTown Half Marathon โ April 2026
This year looked different. I finished in 2:07, but the time doesnโt tell the full story. I was dealing with shin splints that significantly impacted my training and performance.
Instead of chasing the clock, I learned patience โ how to adapt, recover, and respect my body through setbacks.
๐ผ Lifetime Half Marathon โ May 2026
Next up is the Lifetime Half Marathon in Chicago โ and this one is different in the best way. Iโll be running it with my best friend, which makes the experience even more meaningful.
This race isnโt just about pace โ itโs about joy, connection, and remembering why I started running in the first place.
๐ฑ One Step at a Time
Every race teaches something new. Every setback builds something stronger. And every spring reminds me that growth always comes back around.
