Hey, I’m Ava

I’m a student-athlete at Roger Williams University, where I play field hockey and push myself every day to grow on and off the field. Being part of a team has taught me a lot—but so has learning how to challenge myself individually.

I’ve always been someone who cares about improvement more than perfection. Whether it’s a practice, a game, or just showing up to the gym, I try to focus on doing things with intention.

My Running Journey

Running is where I really learned what resilience feels like. I’ve completed two half marathons, and both changed the way I think about effort.

It’s not just about distance—it’s about showing up when it’s uncomfortable and learning that you’re capable of more than you think.

My 1% Better Philosophy

I don’t try to overhaul everything at once. I focus on small wins that add up over time. One better workout. One better habit. One better mindset shift.

The gym is where I reset. It’s not about being the strongest person in the room—it’s about becoming a stronger version of myself than I was yesterday.
